ISC East 2014, Back In The Big Apple, The Biggest Security Conference And Exhibition In The Northeast
The International Security Conference & Exposition, better known as ISC East, is a popular exposition and conference event for the physical security industry in the Northeaster US. It is going to be held between November 19th and 20th at the Javits Center in New York City.
ISC East is a premier event to discover the latest security technology and products, network with security professionals and colleagues and train for the security industry. ISC East will bring together dealers/installers, specifiers/consultants, physical security/IT systems integrators and other end users.
What will be new at ISC East in 2014?
This year, the event will bring in new products and services such as access control, biometrics, fire control, systems integration, alarms and monitoring, CCTV, wireless applications, remote monitoring and more.
More than 200 exhibitors have confirmed their participation in ISC 2014. They are spread over 30 product categories. Some of them are alarms, analytics, home automation, monitoring equipment/services/systems, sensors, security services and others. Approximately 4500 security professionals are also expected to visit the event, most likely attracted by the exhibition floor which will showcase the latest technologies and services for enhancing security operations and increasing business efficiencies. The organizers have also lined up 36 speakers from various segments of the security industry.
ISC East 2014 is a five track event
There are five tracks in the 2014 session – dealer/installer, end user, IAPSC workshop, exhibitor product training and a seminar on mass evacuation systems. There will be workshops under each of these tracks. For instance, the seminar on mass evacuation systems consists of three sessions on defining/understanding the mass evacuation systems market, building a futuristic company and translating plans into action. The exhibitor product training track also has three sessions and anyone with a ISC badge can attend these sessions for free.
The Security Industry Association or SIA will be conducting a free education series at ISC East. The program will educate participants on business trends, state codes/requirements (physical security) and security technologies. This event is also free for everyone wearing a ISC badge.
The International Association for Professional Security Consultants or IAPSC will hold a workshop on security consulting on November 19th. The modules are welcome/introductions, starting a security consulting business, attracting clients and best practices. The workshop will end with a question and answer session with a panel of the three speakers, who have taught the specific modules.
