What To Expect from the Solar Power International 2014 Event, Exciting Times Ahead for Solar Energy
Solar Power International 2014 is the world’s biggest exhibition cum conference for solar products. It will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas between October 20 and 23. SPI 2014 is the top choice for solar power installers, contractors, project developers and solar integrators to build awareness about their offerings and to grow their links with buyers.
More than 600 exhibitors from all over the world will be coming to Las Vegas to showcase their solar products and services at SPI 2014 – the mother of all solar power events. Around 15,000 solar power professionals are also expected to be at the event. It is a good opportunity for them to meet peers, thought leaders, industry captains and subject matter experts (solar). The organizers have set up an action-packed itinerary for four days, filled with workshops, educational and general sessions, special events and more.
Education series is the main-course at SPI 2014
The highlight of the event will be the education sessions – general sessions, concurrent sessions, QuickTalks, workshops and an idea swap session. The general sessions are SPI’s flagship events and they will set the tone as well as frame for the conference. A number of dynamic speakers will deliver talks on the latest topics and issues of critical importance to the industry.
The opening general session on October 20, will be on building energy and relationships. The speakers at the event include Julia Hamm, CEO and President of SEPA and President of SEIA. The general session on October 22, will include a panel discussion. The keynote address at the session will be delivered by Dr. Ernest Moniz, the United States Secretary of Energy.
The theme of the concurrent sessions will be planning and management of solar projects. Topics such as financing strategies, policy initiatives, opportunities in new markets and technological advancements in solar power will be taken up at the event.
25 minute QuickTalks- a unique offering at SPI 2014
QuickTalks will be an interesting component of the event allowing solar industry experts to talk on their desired topic for 25 minutes. Note that access to the concurrent sessions, QuickTalks and networking lunch will be given only to those who have tickets. Pre-registration is mandatory to attend the workshops.
The show floor, not to be left behind, will showcase solar power start-ups among numerous other vendors showing off solar technologies and products. Other offering at the show floor include technical training, educational posters and discussions on solar issues as well as industry trends.
Solar Power International 2014 will be conducted by the Solar Electric Power Association in partnership with the Solar Energy Industries Association.
